The Forest and Farm Facility (FFF Ghana) of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in collaboration with the Ghana Federation of Forest and Farm Producers (GhaFFaP) has announced the 2nd Edition of the Financial Monitoring Training Workshop. The event is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 18th December 2024 to Friday, 20th December 2024, at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
This workshop aims to enhance the financial management and accountability capacities of Forest and Farm Producer Organizations (FFPOs) benefiting from the 2024 Direct Beneficiary Grants (DBGs). Participants will gain valuable insights into financial monitoring tools and practices to strengthen their organizations’ operational efficiency and transparency.
The event will host two representatives from each participating FFPO comprising a Finance/Accounts Officer and either the Executive Director or a Project Officer. This strategic combination of participants ensures that both the financial and administrative leadership of the organizations are equipped with the necessary skills to foster sound financial practices.
Organizers of the workshop emphasized the importance of the training, stating, “Effective financial monitoring is essential for sustainable development, especially for organizations working within the forest and farm sector. This training is designed to equip participants with the tools needed to ensure financial accountability and improve performance.”
Participants are expected to gather in Tamale for the three-day workshop which promises interactive sessions, practical tools, and expert-led discussions to address key financial challenges faced by FFPOs.
For further details participants are encouraged to reach out to the GhaFFaP Secretariat.
